Google Again Issues a Warning to Site’s Using Sneaky Mobile Redirects
Nowadays, it seems like Google’s busy issuing warning messages to the webmaster community for infringing upon Google’s webmaster guidelines. And this time it’s the sneaky mobile redirects that are on the search giant’s radar. In fact, just last month Google warned site-owners, who are intentionally or unintentionally using them to attract visitors to their sites.
About the impending action on the sneaky mobile redirects, Google’s Search Quality Sr. Strategist, Andrey Lipattsev recently mentioned through a Google hangout video post that the team at Google is actively working on detecting and penalizing the sneaky mobile traffic networks across the web that redirect users from one site to another, which rather spoils the user’s mobile browsing experience.
Here’s the link to Andrey Lipattsev’s latest video post via Google hangout.
Andrey Lipattsev said that the issue “is very close to my heart right now.” His team is working with him to detect these “mobile affiliate traffic driving networks” where “users are just being bounced from one place to another.” He said that sometimes publishers add these networks to their sites on purpose to make extra money, but sometimes the publishers, and even the advertisers, are unaware of it.

Well, this is not the first warning that has being issued on the matter to the webmasters. Last month itself, a similar kind of warning was issued by Google. But nothing happened after that, which brings us to the conclusion that the search giant only issues these warnings but never acts it out.
